How to be Eligible for the Contest
Rules, even though everyone hates them, are really important. They're guidelines that everyone must follow - not just participants, but voters as well. This page will give you the low-down on what you need to know in order for your character to be entered into the Tuxedo Wars. Read carefully. I will be following the same rules and guidelines that Sakura does for the Sailor Wars.
- Characters that are entered into the contest must be the original creation of the author. No stealing! If you come under suspicion of otaku theft then you will be given a warning that your character is under investigation. If you are guilty of stealing, then you will be disqualified, put on the black list, and reported to Protect Our Senshi and put on their otaku watch list. Please remember though that I am not responsible for allowing otaku theifs to compete. I am not performing background checks on people! If you think something is up, then contact me with sufficient evidence so that I may contact the author of the competing character.
- The Tuxedo Wars is for male otaku characters only. Sorry, no girls. If there are special circumstances for your character, then you may contact me and we'll talk.
- A single person may enter as many characters as they like, but please wait until one has competed to do so. By doing this you are giving other people the chance to showcase their characters. Your characters are also not allowed to battle each other.
- Profiles and images are a must have. If you do not submit either of these, then your character is not eligible to compete. Please also remember that if you are using an image that was made by someone other than yourself to give them proper credit. Again, I am not responsible for people not giving proper credit to others!
- The following items are a must have in a profile: Name, Age, some physical description or physical characteristics like hair and eyes color, build (or height and weight), strengths and weaknesses, personality (must exceed five sentences), senshi name, at least two attacks WITH detailed descriptions of what the attack looks like and it's effect, mission as a senshi, how they became a senshi and/or history. Do not submit a character without all of these elements. Taken from the Sailor Wars.
- Once a profile or image has been submitted, they can be updated up until the character goes into battle. Once they are involved in a battle, neither can be updated until a win situation. After a character wins a battle, you will have two (2) days to update the profile and image. After that, the original stuff stays.
- Characters that are submitted will be placed in a queue and will wait for the next chance to compete in a battle that is suitable to their character's Grade.
- Weaker characters will not compete against stronger onces (unless I run out of entries). What I mean by weaker and stronger, is how developped the characters are.
- IPs will be logged when votes are taken in the competition. Only one vote per computer please! If any character receives more than one vote on the same IP than that character will come under suspicion and will be disqualified from the contest.
- You cannot vote for your own senshi!
- Images will only be accepted as 'JPEG', 'JPG', or 'GIF' files. Profiles as 'HTM', 'HTML', or 'DOC' files.
- Please send entries to webmaster@calidawn.net with the subject 'Tuxedo Wars Entry'. It makes it easier to sort my mail. If you do not label the email then it could potentially be lost and I will not be responsible for any lost emails if they do not have that subject heading.
